iRest Yoga Nidra, also known as iRest Mindfulness Meditation, is a research-based transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditative inquiry. iRest releases negative emotions and thought patterns, calms the nervous system, and develops a deep capacity to meet any and all circumstances you may encounter in life. Yoga Nidra is often referred to as psychic sleep or deep relaxation with inner awareness. Research has shown that iRest Yoga Nidra effectively reduces  PTSD, depression, anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, and chemical dependency. Current research with the U.S. military has shown iRest Yoga Nidra to be as, or more, effective than any other intervention (including medication) for veterans returning from war zones with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Many other research studies are underway for children, the homeless, and those with chronic fatigue, sleep disorders, anxiety, and depression.
